An online, game-based training program–dubbed the Hazard Identification Training Tool–is designed to help construction and manufacturing companies detect workplace hazards. According to an OSHA website, the tool covers five components, including how to best collect information. “Read any information that users may have at their workplace (manuals, safety data sheets, OSHA data, etc.) to find hazards that have already been identified by others.” The game offers a variety of scenarios for users to work through. It was developed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, in conjunction with its Training Institute.
