Description
Birmingham General Contractor is searching for a Chief Estimator with experience in commercial construction for projects in the Birmingham metro area.
Projects to include commercial office buildings, restaurants, recreational and multifamily.
This person will be responsible for preparing estimates throughout the entire preconstruction process until turnover to operations for construction. Responsibilities include perform takeoffs, prepare estimates, solicit subcontractor quotes, and present proposals and estimates to clients.
Requirements:
- You must have at least 7 years' experience in commercial, hospitality, &/or healthcare construction working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
- Your experience must include estimating and performing preconstruction services on commercial projects for a GC or CM for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
- Local experience is preferred but not required. Reasonable relocation expenses will be paid.
Compensation:
- $100,000 - $125,000/year, depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package.
