Construction Industry Outlook Survey Reveals Optimism for 2014
An annual report from the Associated General Contractors brings optimism from both construction businesses and people working in the industry. The AGC’s 20,000 member database was surveyed on 11 non-residential sectors of the industry. “This year for the first time, two-thirds of them said they expect the overall market to turn up either this year or next year,” says AGC chief economist Ken Simonson. “Previously, over half of them thought the recovery was over two years away.” Another highlight from the survey is the manufacturing sector’s performance.
