Construction Jobs Can Be Fun: America’s Top 50 Playgrounds

When it comes to doing their homework, folks at the Early Childhood Education Zone have risen to the occasion. Their list of America’s Top 50 Playgrounds balances safety, fun, learning, green initiatives, design, special needs and community partnerships. For example, No. 24 is the Can-Do Playground in Wilmington, Delaware. It involved a collaboration with six Rotary Clubs. No. 8 is the Eco Playground at Kellogg Park in New Orleans. It was built following Hurricane Katrina, and brought in the Make it Right Foundation, led by actor Brad Pitt. The park was designed using sustainable methods and materials, according to the list. The electronic playground equipment is powered by solar panels. Take a look; it’s a great reminder that spring is just around the corner.
