Charlotte, NC General Contractor specializing in commercial construction is searching for an experienced Project Manager.  This is a highly respected General Contractor that has projects throughout the Carolinas. You will report to the Charlotte office.  Occasional travel to jobsites will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the estimating department during the preconstruction process to provide insight on schedule and construction methods.

• Complete P&L responsibility of all aspects of the construction project(s).
• Negotiate subcontracts, manage costs, work with owner & architect, maintain relationships with owner, A/E, and subcontractors.

• Responsible for managing all business aspects of the project as well as provide direction to the field Supervision.

 Qualification Requirements:

• At least 7-9 years’ experience working for a GC or CM in project management or preconstruction is required.
• Experience on mid-large, ground-up construction projects in excess of $20M.
• You must have excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management is preferred.
• Working as an owner’s rep or for an A/E firm will not be considered.
• You must currently live within commuting distance of Charlotte.  No relocation will be paid.

Salary level:

• $90K - $110K/year, depending on experience, plus vehicle and an excellent benefits package.
