A highly respected national general contractor specializing in federal construction projects is seeking a Design Build Engineer/Manager for high-profile projects. Clients include federal agencies such as NAVFAC, USACE, Veteran Affairs, and others.

Design-Build Project Engineer

Design Phase / Project Management

· Review and manage design deliverables for constructability on Design-Build projects.

· Collaborate with architects and engineers during design and preconstruction phases.

· Identify and mitigate design-related project risks.

Project Engineering

· Support development of budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.

· Manage submittals and RFIs during preconstruction, including design-phase items.

· Coordinate change orders and scope changes between clients, subs, and designers.

· Assist with subcontractor/vendor selection and cost monitoring.

· Organize and document meetings, track decisions, and maintain project records.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.

· 2+ years of project engineering experience with a general contractor; federal project experience preferred.

· Experience with Design-Build and design-phase management strongly preferred.

Note: This role is focused on design management during the Design-Build phase. Additional QC and PM opportunities are also available.
