5 strategies to use right now to reach your business goals

We’ve passed the half-way mark in 2013. When was the last time you looked at the goals or resolutions you set back in January? Some of you reading this didn’t write anything down, but that’s OK. There’s still time.

What do you want to achieve by Dec. 31st, 2013? What do you have to achieve by Dec. 31st, 2013? What must you achieve by December 31st, 2013?

It’s time to get past the dabbling and going through the motions phases. To reach your business goals, use these five strategies. You may just amaze yourself this winter!

1. Look back. Write down your successes since January 1st. How many times do we rush past our achievements without celebrating our hard work and lessons learned? When you remind yourself of your recent successes and the feelings that came along with each one, you will be empowered and motivated to continue striving for victories.  2.  Understand the importance of focus. Yes, it’s difficult to escape the many distractions in our daily lives, but it can be done. Tapping into the power of your mind is the most valuable discipline that exists.  Read this: The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Les Hewitt.

3. Guard your time.  Prioritize your daily tasks and goals, concentrating on the ‘green light’ activities. These are the things that generate revenue. 4. Commit to face-to-face networking. Block out an entire week and hit the town! Identify the events and gatherings that your ideal clients may attend, and get there. Warning: You could find yourself at more than one ‘rubber chicken’ event in a day. Forget the food; remember you’re there to mingle with decision makers who can sign checks. 5. Market, market, market. Keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities to showcase your expertise and help others. It may in a Twitter chat, a bylined article for an industry publication, or a guest blog post.
