CareerBuilder: Pace of Hiring Looks Good in 4th Quarter

The jobs outlook for the rest of 2014 is more in line with pre-recession forecasts. That’s according to Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder, who adds that employers are casting a greater vote of confidence in permanent and seasonal hiring. “What’s also encouraging is that recruitment plans for small businesses with more than 50 employees are keeping pace with larger organizations,” says Ferguson. A post on Forbes.com explains that 29 percent of employers plan to hire full-time, permanent workers by the end of 2014. That’s up from 25 percent of employers who were hiring at this time last year.
