Assistant Project Manager | Greenville, SC - Commercial Construction Projects
We’re representing a reputable, relationship-driven Commercial General Contractor based in Greenville, SC that’s known for integrity, craftsmanship, and a hands-on approach to building. The team is looking for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support ongoing and upcoming exciting commercial projects across Upstate, SC.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated construction professional who wants to learn from experienced leaders, grow into a Project Manager role, and be part of a company that truly invests in its teammates.
About the Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll work closely with both senior leadership and field teams to plan, organize, and execute projects from concept through closeout. You’ll have strong mentors and gain exposure to all aspects of project management.
Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction Planning: Coordinate early-stage project activities from concept through permitting.
Project Management Tools: Utilize the Procore platform daily to manage documentation, communication, and workflow.
Trade Partner Coordination: Assist with subcontractor solicitation, proposal review, scope development, and subcontract issuance.
Field Collaboration: Work with site supervision to plan daily activities focused on safety, schedule, and quality.
Constructability & Quality: Participate in constructability reviews and evaluate work for conformance with contract documents.
Cost Management: Support project cost tracking, subcontract and purchase order development, and profitability reporting.
Contract Support: Help mitigate risk through thoughtful trade partner and owner contract development.
Teamwork & Mentorship: Partner with senior team members to deliver projects successfully and continue developing your construction management skill set.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in commercial construction (preferably with a general contractor)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Procore or similar project management software
Detail-oriented and proactive approach to planning and problem-solving
Desire to grow your career within a supportive, team-driven environment
