Description

Specialty contractor has an immediate need for a Project Manager to manage projects throughout the U.S. This is a field based position. Approximately 75% travel will be required.

• Projects are civil in nature, involving environmental remediation, so familiarity with boring, drilling, or environmental remediation is required.

• Your ability to manage people, handle multiple projects at a time, and relate well with the field crews, as well as the clients, is crucial.

Travel between jobsites will be necessary. You will be travelling approximately 75% of the time throughout the U.S. . Previous work history demonstrating your willingness to travel is required. Hotel and per diem will be paid when travelling.

• This position will be responsible for multiple projects. These projects are not complicated, but do require strong management and multi-tasking skills. You will have full responsibility for scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, cost analysis, directing crews, billing, and maintaining excellent relationships with owners.

• You will report directly to the President of the company.

Experience:
At least 5 years’ experience managing projects for an environmental remediation contractor or horizontal drilling company is required.
• A high degree of computer literacy and ability to learn new reporting and scheduling software is required.
• The ability to interact with the field personnel and willingness to get in the mud with them when necessary is essential.
• You must have experience managing subs and directing some self-performed work. Experience analyzing cost, productivity, and schedule is required.

A 4 year engineering, geology, or construction related degree is required.

Candidates whose experience has been working for an owner, owner's rep, or design firm do not qualify and will not be considered.

Compensation: $75,000 -$120,000/ year plus benefits. Hotel and per diem will be paid when travelling.
