OVERALL SUMMARY
Our client is a growing leader in Austin’s Commercial Construction market. They have an immediate opportunity for a Cost Controls Manager or Project Accountant with strong Cost Control experience. This position will lead Cost Controls in the region and support project managers and regional leadership, directly responsible for cost management, cost analysis, and cost reporting.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for change management and risk management for construction. They will also monitor and present project cost updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cost Control Management: Support the development and implementation of cost management programs for construction projects, including approved budget, total commitments, cost incurred and invoiced costs. Work closely with project team to forecast project costs.
Cost Analysis & tracking: Perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project cost performance to identify potential risk areas and validate forecast.
Reporting: Maintain cost tools and reports to communicate project cost metrics and performance with the project team and senior managers so they can make data-based decisions.
Other work as necessary to support successful financial project delivery.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years equivalent experience
Must be Viewpoint expert and love focusing on and communicating cost control, management and forecasting with a team of builders
Innovative approach to cost controls and strong business acumen in project planning and management
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
