Highly respected general contractor specializing in delivering high-impact construction solutions for Department of Defense and Department of State agencies. This firm takes pride in their client-focused approach and collaborative team culture, ensuring that they deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
They are now looking for an exceptional leader to take on the role as the Director of Construction- Federal Division. You will spearhead the success of federal projects across the East Coast.
Position Overview
As Director of Construction-Federal Division, you lead all federal construction contracts on the east coast. This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for managing project execution, team development, and business growth while ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and direct all federal contracts in the eastern United States ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Responsible for talent acquisition, mentoring and management of division staff to optimize productivity and professional growth.
· Lead the planning, scheduling, procurement, subcontract administration, and closeout of all east coast projects.
· Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for operational and business development success.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and key industry partners.
· Identify new project opportunities and collaborate with the estimating team to develop winning bids.
Qualifications & Experience
· 10 to 15 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Executive/Project Director or Construction Manager with a general contractor specializing in vertical construction in the federal sector.
· Extensive experience managing multiple medium to large-scale construction projects valued between $20M-$100M.
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
· Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
· Willingness to travel as required.
