A highly respected heavy civil contractor is searching for an experienced safety director for heavy civil projects.
• The selected candidate will report to the home office near Tompkinsville, KY or regional office in Nashville, TN and should be open to occasional travel throughout the U.S.
• Create safety training videos and in-house training classes specific to each type of crew. Ensure immediate training of new employees, and schedule regular refresher training of existing employees.
• Experienced in heavy civil projects to include site development such as excavation, trenching, utilities, roadways, etc.
• Expert knowledge of health, safety and environmental concepts and methods.
• Oversee safety managers and conduct training meetings while coordinating with human resources and project management.
• Responsible for risk analysis, reporting, conducting investigations, proposing preventative solutions and other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $125K-$150K depending on experience, plus healthcare benefits, 401K. Reasonable relocation will be offered to the selected candidate.
