Multifamily General Contractor has an urgent need for a Traveling General Construction Manager for multifamily wood frame construction projects in TX, SC, GA, MD, VA, OH, IN, WI, & IA.

This position requires nearly 100% weekday travel visiting multiple projects throughout their construction. Living and travel expenses will be paid. You can keep your home base wherever you like. You will be home all weekends.

Typical projects are 3 story garden style wood frame apartments.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing all construction team responsibilities.
• Overseeing a team of Project Managers, each working on their own individual projects. This would include visiting each job site and attending Subcontractor progress meetings and Owner Architect Contract (OAC) meetings to be aware of project status and issues.
• Meet regularly with the VP of Construction to review schedule, budget and personnel performance.
• Estimate and Budget reviews, constructability input, scope and bid list review, subcontractor selection.
• This position shall be responsible for oversight management of a minimum of 6 projects at a time.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 15 years of experience managing ground-up multifamily wood frame construction projects.

• Experience managing multiple projects at a time and a minimum of total value of projects managed in excess of $250M during your career.

• Must be computer literate and comfortable using Procore, Microsoft Word, and scheduling software.

Compensation: $175,000-$180,000, per year depending on experience. Bonus potential plus Excellent benefits package including healthcare benefits from Day 1, 4% 401K Match, 18 days PTO, paid holidays and travel/living allowance.
