A long time Florida panhandle home builder has outgrown the ability to meet the needs of their customers. They are searching for an experienced Design & Sales associate to work with buyers of new single-family homes. This person will assist buyers to choose the plan that best suits their needs and their budget. Then help them with selections of materials, fixtures, colors, lighting, cabinetry,flooring, and all aspects of the finishes for the entire home. These choices can be an overwhelming task for buyers, so you will lead them through the process and provide recommendations. This is a very rewarding role, especially when the home is completed and all the decisions have created their new home.
Key Responsibilities
• Actively research new products and trends and make recommendations to the company. Increase sales by incorporating these new ideas by staying on the leading edge of the newest trends in the single family home market.
• This person will work with subcontractors, field personnel, and vendors to ensure buyers selections are incorporated into the home.
• Prepare detailed lists of selected options and sales contracts.
• Maintain the showroom to ensure an attractive and professional experience for prospective buyers.
• Assist buyers with color and product selections.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a sales role and design associated with single family homes. A design degree is preferred, but not required. Your design experience doesn't have to be with an entire home. It can be in most any type of feature or material used in single family or commercial construction. For example: flooring, cabinetry,furniture, or complete interior design or decorating. These can be for remodels, additions, or the entire house.
• An outgoing personality and positive attitude with the ability to resolve difficult situations and calmly discuss when things do not go as planned.
• Must be a self-driven, self-starter who can work independently without oversight

Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
• Performance-based bonus structure with a bonus for every house sold plus commission on upgrades and change orders
• 401(k) retirement plan & healthcare benefits after 90 days of employment.
• If you do not currently live within commuting distance of Niceville, FL, assistance with relocation costs may be provided in the form of an allowance, amount of allowance will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and current location.
