Description

A growing commercial general contractor in the Kansas City market is seeking a Senior Project Manager as part of a long-term leadership succession plan. This role is designed for a hands-on PM who enjoys full project ownership, mentoring team members, and helping grow a business, with a clear path into office leadership within the next three years.

Commercial general contractor with steady growth in the KC market

Project types include: Private education, early childhood facilities, municipal, civic, institutional, renovation, tenant improvement.

Typical project sizes up to $40M

Work is exclusively local to the KC area

What You Will Do

Lead multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout

Support estimating and negotiated pursuits

Coordinate directly with superintendents, owners, and trade partners

Mentor and develop Project Engineers and junior staff

Step in where needed in a growing, lean operation

Help shape project execution, team development, and future growth

Ideal Candidate

5+ years project management experience in a GC environment

Experience managing multiple projects concurrently

Comfortable supporting estimating and pursuit efforts

Desire to mentor and lead junior staff

Strong communicator with sound judgment and accountability
