How to Find Leaders Among Project Managers
Fifty-five percent of project managers agree that good communication with all stakeholders is paramount for the success of a complex project. The Project Management Institute’s research also reveals that good leaders aren’t always effective PMs. To address the leadership/management conundrum in the U.K., the Government’s Major Projects Leadership Academy is being created at Oxford University. Richard Wilson managed the completion of the Welsh National Assembly Building. He maintains that PMs with solid skills in strategic planning, negotiation, and risk management are the ones who can see a project to a successful end.
