Here’s a loaded interview question for a Project Manager: What’s more important,   finishing a project on time, on scope, or on budget? An inexperienced candidate would likely respond that all three are equally important. A seasoned PM would opt for prioritizing the objectives of the project stakeholders. “One defining element of a project is that it is unique. As a result, each project’s particular bag of drivers will be different than the last,” explains Sara Gallagher, a Certified Project Manager and consultant. She adds that a seasoned PM is prepared to manage a budget-driven, scope-driven, or schedule-driven project with equal skill.
