New Project Manager App Brings Real Time Communication to Jobsites

A new construction app is helping office teams keep in touch with field workers. It’s also keeping clients engaged throughout the building process. SiteMAX, which was developed by James Faulkner of Faulkner Brand, Inc., is getting rave reviews from Doug Scott, founder and president of Wales McLelland Construction in Vancouver, BC. The two have been working together to refine the app, according to an article in the Vancouver Sun newspaper. “You have people on-site charged with running construction projects, and they don’t have time to be doing a lot of computer work,” said Scott. “The beauty of the iPad is that it’s basically touch-screen. And it slips easily into the pocket of a safety vest.” It’s a far cry from the days of running between job sites with envelopes stuffed with papers and photos.
