SHRM: 1% of Employers Give Unlimited Time Off—With Positive Results

Workers appreciate companies that offer unlimited vacation and sick days. Research finds people like the flexibility and, as a result, are more productive. The Society for Human Resource Management says only one percent of U.S. companies have updated their paid time-off policies, which also benefits employers. “Companies save by not having the administrative work of keeping track and allocating time off,” according to United Press International. “In some states, vacation days not taken can be cashed out when an employee leaves, but with unlimited time off, this expense is no longer taken.”  Is this approach feasible in the construction industry?
