80% of Construction Companies to Expand Payrolls in 2015

Most construction contractors are extremely optimistic about the coming months, that’s despite a labor shortage and stiff industry regulations.  So says Stephen Sandherr, CEO of the Associated General Contractors. The group just released its Ready to Hire Again: The 2015 Construction Industry Hiring and Business Outlook, which offers encouraging news for construction jobs compared to last year.  In 2014, only 57 percent of firms report that they added to their total headcount.  This post on BDCNetwork—which features an infographic—notes that construction contractors are also optimistic about some public sector construction segments, especially those that aren’t entirely dependent on federal funding.
