Simplified Permitting Will Create Jobs, Says Co-Sponsor of Federal Bill
“One thing we can all agree on is that we need more jobs and construction jobs are some of the best paying jobs out there. Unfortunately, a big roadblock to creating more of these jobs is the inexcusably slow review process imposed by Washington on the permitting of new construction projects.” That’s according to U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala). The proposed legislation, dubbed RAPID, or The Responsibly and Professionally Invigorating Development Act, could be welcome news to the hiring managers you work with.
