Description

North Carolina-based Single Family home builder is searching for a Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities include:

· Soliciting subcontractors and suppliers for quotes

· Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors

· Establishing purchasing procedures and tracking systems for the company.

· Issuing purchase orders and subcontracts for this high production home builder.

· Assisting in resolving any issues or conflicts with materials or subcontractor activities.

Job Requirements:

· At least 3 years’ experience with a single family or multifamily home builder, in a Purchasing Manager, or Purchasing Assistant role is required.

· Strong negotiation skills

· Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

· Must be very familiar with residential construction materials and terminology

· Effective organization and planning skills

· Proficient using Sage 300 Construction software and all Microsoft Office programs

· Knowledge of the Triad area construction materials & subcontractor market is a plus, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:

· Salary - $80-120K plus profit sharing/bonus potential in $30-60K range

· Excellent benefits package
