When You Build America’s Top Playgrounds, Working Construction Jobs Can Be Fun

When it comes to doing their homework, folks at the Early Childhood Education Zone have risen to the occasion. Their list of America’s Top 50 Playgrounds includes several that showcase the power of creativity, inclusiveness and green initiatives. For example, No. 24 is the Can-Do Playground in Wilmington, Delaware. It involved a collaboration with six Rotary Clubs. No. 8 is the Eco Playground at Kellogg Park in New Orleans. It was built following Hurricane Katrina, and brought in the Make it Right Foundation, led by actor and activist Brad Pitt. The park was designed using sustainable methods and materials, according to the list. The electronic playground equipment is powered by solar panels. Nos. 23 and 17 are also intriguing.
