National restaurant chain owner headquartered in the Atlanta, Georgia area has an urgent need for a Director of Construction.

• You will be responsible for directing multiple restaurant construction projects throughout the country, but primarily in the Southeast.
• These projects are primarily capital renovation and remodel projects to ensure the restaurants meet current chain standards. Some are construction of new stores.
• This position reports directly to the V.P. of Operations.
• The responsibilities of this position will include:
  • Manage all construction project management activities company wide.
  • Work with the design and development groups to provide cost and constructability input during design and preconstruction.
  • You will be the owner’s representative on multiple restaurant construction projects throughout the country, but primarily in the Southeast.
  • You will train and direct a PM to also perform the owner’s representative duties on approximately ½ of the active projects.
  • Work with Owners, JV Partners, clients, designers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and profitable projects while maintaining excellent relationships with all parties.
  • Ensure project budgets and schedules are maintained through closeout.
• Approximately 50% travel is required.

Requirements: 

• You must have at least 7 years of construction experience working for a GC, CM, or as an owner’s representative.
• At least 5 years’ experience as the Project Manager or Director of Construction on restaurant renovation projects.
• A four year construction degree is required.
• You must currently live in the Atlanta area or be willing to relocate here.   

Compensation:

• $120,000 - $140,000/year, depending on experience, plus bonus, and excellent benefits.
