Southeast-based developer of multifamily & mixed-use properties has an urgent need for a Director of Preconstruction.

The Director of Preconstruction will be responsible for:

• Building a team of Preconstruction Managers, Estimators, & Project Managers to prepare estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit subcontractor & supplier participation, perform scope comparisons, perform value engineering, contractor buyout activities, & train and direct preconstruction staff.
• This is a well-established developer that is growing. They are creating an internal preconstruction department so they are not dependent on third party contractors for pricing.  Their goal is to be a developer/builder of their own projects.  This person will be in charge of building that team.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience working for a commercial GC, or multifamily/ mixed-use: general contractor, developer, or developer /builder is required.
• At least 2 years working as a Preconstruction Manager or Estimator for one of the above-mentioned entities is required.
• Experience with wood frame structures is a plus, but not required.
• Typical projects are 3 story townhomes, 5 story wrap, podium, and low-rise mixed use.
• You must currently live in the Atlanta area or be willing to relocate here.  This is not a remote work position.
• A 4-year construction or engineering related degree is preferred but not required.

Compensation:  $125K-$150K, depending on experience, bonus potential, excellent benefit package, etc.
